Sumptuous, Moisturising Manuka Honey Face & Hand Mask

This sumptuous Manuka Honey face and hand mask is a luxurious and natural way to pamper your skin. Manuka Honey's healing properties, combined with the moisturising effects of olive oil and the skin-loving probiotics in yogurt, can leave your skin feeling refreshed, soft, and glowing. Plus, the optional addition of lavender essential oil adds an extra layer of relaxation to your home-spa experience. Enjoy your at-home spa day!

 

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon Manuka Honey
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon natural live yogurt
  • Optional: 2 drops of lavender essential oil for extra relaxation

 

Instructions

 

  1. Prepare Your Work Area:
    Before you start, tie your hair back and wear a headband or hair clip to keep your hair away from your face. You may also want to wear an old shirt or a robe to avoid getting the mask on your clothes.

  2. Create the Manuka Honey Mask:
    In a small mixing bowl, combine the Manuka Honey, extra-virgin olive oil, and natural live yogurt. If you want to add a calming element, include 2 drops of lavender essential oil. Lavender oil is known for its soothing properties and can enhance the relaxation factor of your mask.

  3. Mix Thoroughly:
    Use a spoon or a small whisk to blend the ingredients together until you have a smooth and creamy consistency. Ensure that the honey, olive oil, and yogurt are well incorporated.

  4. Prep Your Face and Hands:
    If you're using the mask on your face, make sure your skin is clean and free from makeup or other products. You can gently cleanse your face before application if needed.
    For the hand mask, make sure your hands are clean and dry.

  5. Application:
    Gently apply the Manuka Honey mask to your makeup-free and clean face, avoiding the delicate skin around your eyes. If you're using it on your hands, apply a generous amount to your hands, including your fingers and nails.

  6. Relax:
    Once the mask is applied, take some time to relax and enjoy a mini-spa session. Find a comfortable spot to sit or lie down, and let the mask work its magic.

    You can read a book, listen to calming music, or simply close your eyes and practice deep breathing for extra relaxation.

    Leave the mask on for about 10-15 minutes. This will give the ingredients time to nourish and rejuvenate your skin.

  7. Rinse Off:
    After the designated time, wash off the mask with warm water. You can use a gentle, circular motion to exfoliate your skin further, especially if you applied it to your hands.

  8. Finish and Moisturise:
    Finish your mini-spa session by applying one of your favourite Manuka Honey moisturisers. This will help lock in the moisture and leave your skin feeling soft and supple.
